Definitely stick with it - took me a couple of episodes to fully warm up to it, but I thought it was great by the end.

Yes, it was not until about episode 3 that I decided it was brilliant. The birthday party was funny in an excruciating way, and the mother & creepy step dad deserve a series of their very own.

I've watched the first three episodes and I think it's great. I went in blind and was expecting it to be a UK production, not an Oz one (solely due to the fact it was available via the BBC).

Looking forward to watching the remaining episodes.

The female lead reminds me of Ashley Jensen's character in Extras.
And the male has a touch of Andy Millman about him.

Just watched this all the way through, mainly on my flight home, then just seen the last couple of episodes. Wouldn't have picked it out if I hadn't seen this thread. Really good, funny and poignant, well worth a watch (y) Shame it wasn't longer, hopefully another series coming.

There is a writers strike down under which has delayed the possibility of a second season for at least another year.

There is also a writers strike in the USA as well so majority of decent shows are going to wind up delayed until 2025, annoying. I remember the last one killed quite a few shows and massively delayed others
