The Ausi wit seems half way between us and the USA, which suits me fine. Great series.
Yeah the first one was a slow burner, scene setter thing but I would say it gets betterI gave up after two episodes. Sounds like I should pick it up again
I caught about ten minutes of the one where they had a dog that had been run over or something - wasn’t particularly funny - maybe I’ll start from the beginning and give it another watch.
Definitely stick with it - took me a couple of episodes to fully warm up to it, but I thought it was great by the end. That was the beginning
It’s brilliant, stick with it.
There is a writers strike down under which has delayed the possibility of a second season for at least another year.Just watched this all the way through, mainly on my flight home, then just seen the last couple of episodes. Wouldn't have picked it out if I hadn't seen this thread. Really good, funny and poignant, well worth a watch (y) Shame it wasn't longer, hopefully another series coming.
There is also a writers strike in the USA as well so majority of decent shows are going to wind up delayed until 2025, annoying. I remember the last one killed quite a few shows and massively delayed othersThere is a writers strike down under which has delayed the possibility of a second season for at least another year.
Didn’t realise she was Elvis’s mother in the Baz Lurman movieThe over bearing mother is brilliant

The female lead reminds me of Ashley Jensen's character in Extras..
