But he didn't though did he? Because Jordan said said so doesn't make trueLike Jordan said Wilder disappeared up his own backside years ago. I’ve lost all respect for him. I’d have rather finished midtable with Warnock who at least respected Gibbo and the fans than finishing midtable after this idiot has ruined our season by flirting with Burnley.
We wouldn’t have finished mid table.. 6th or 7th - most likely on 72 pointsLike Jordan said Wilder disappeared up his own backside years ago. I’ve lost all respect for him. That would've taken a dramatic upturn in Warnock's points per game, it's absolute fantasy really but I admire your audacityWe wouldn’t have finished mid table.. 6th or 7th - most likely on 72 points
I have no doubt what so ever we would have benefited from the return of our first choice back four a free agent and a fit for purpose January transfer window and no cup runs.
Agree Rob.But they cleared out the entire first team back room team - Steve Agnew was an experienced coach and had been part of Aitor's staff. I don't see how it can make any sense to take out every familiar face during a season. Continuity seemed to be their cornerstone.
Where's chrisAny Questions?
All well and good but then the next day you tell the gazette your staying and kill all thr speculation.FWIW I have a theory about wilders answer to the ‘question’ after Huddersfield.
He was fuming with so much rage with the players after that display (that he wasn’t expecting) so much so he actually couldn’t bring to think about continuing working with them - that he thought the large majority of them were fannies and he can’t abide that in his team’s. Therefore in the aftermath of that result he just felt like he wanted to tell them all he’s had it with them and didn’t want work with wimps (but obviously couldn’t) and therefore couldn’t bring himself to rule out burnley because in that moment he actually felt like fcuking off.

But surely the priority for Burnley is staying up. Why would they jeopardise that? I think you are giving too much credit to a Burnley chairman that doesnt have a clue.I think Wilder had spoken with Burnley with an arrangement for next season, Dyche found out and either walked or was sacked with a payoff and NDA, that would explain why no-one was in place. I think CW had hoped to give us a good Cup run and at least into the playoffs. It all blew up with Dyche leaving and us losing last Monday. He was clearly a man who looked very troubled on Monday. When interviewed he couldn't say he wasn't approached because he was, he couldn't say he wasn't interested in the job because he was which would explain his evasivness I think Dyche finding out brought everything forward.
It's all supposition i know. The statement from Burnley re Dyche said We are parting company. That suggests Dyche walked/resigned or was sacked. I don't give any credit to Mr Pace rather his hand was forced IMO.But surely the priority for Burnley is staying up. Why would they jeopardise that? I mean.. this explains a lot. Weird how their is NOTHING coming out of the Burnley camp and it’s the full back room team gone. Weird how Wilder has been overly evasive over a straight forward question.. over and over again. Simon Jordan being so OTT about Chris Wilder and specific about him meeting with Burnley recently.I think Wilder had spoken with Burnley with an arrangement for next season, Dyche found out and either walked or was sacked with a payoff and NDA, that would explain why no-one was in place. It would be a rediculous move for him though, wouldn't it? I don't think McClaren ever truly recovered after tarting himself around, it showed he had no respect for clubs, fans or chairmen. That always limited his future options. Ambition is good when controlled, but unbridled ambition is an ugly trait, it makes you untrustworthy. He would immediately put himself into a **** or bust scenario with Burnley, enormous pressures that could break his career.I think he wants to leave, whether he will remains to be seen, but it's like players in the same position, it's pointless trying to hang onto those who want to go.
I don't think anyone really knew about it until afterwards, McClaren's performance as England manager is what put him off English clubs, be did well at FC Twente.. not so much at Wolfsburg, or Forest, did OK back at Twente, alright at Derby-ish Dreadfully at Newcastle, meh at Derby again, then struggled at QPR - he's a good coach and will do well as Assistant at Man Utd imoIt would be a rediculous move for him though, wouldn't it? Went on to be England manager didn't he ?It would be a rediculous move for him though, wouldn't it? one that was never accepted, from day one he was failing to get England fans on side. It was ego and ambition that made him think he could do the job, and deep down, I think that is why he was so disliked by many England fans.Went on to be England manager didn't he ?
