Highest where I live was mid 30s. Mind you this has been the hottest summer since I moved here 18 years ago.but what was it in summer??
You get used to it.No thanks
Not me. Too much viking .You get used to it.
Same here. Ours is set to 18 degrees and whilst not timed, is on and off sporadically once the sun goes down. But it’s either that or divorce. Our house is pretty tropical. I'd rather just pay the hefty bill than put up with the arguments over turning it down.
My wife is definitely a heat the home and not the person type.
I got my first off Shell on the 2nd October. Thought I would just pay my normal DD and get the £66 on top...but no it comes off the DD you already pay so I've had to up my DD by £66..if that makes senseYep just ordered a slow cooker. Like doing stews etc and some of the recipes ask you to have it in the oven or a low simmer on the hob for hours. Not now. Has anyones reduction in bill kicked in yet??? I’m with Shell and think it starts with my bill this month??
We bought a double slow cooker at Lakeland when they had a sale on a few years ago. One of the best things we have bought, the meals are amazing, especially joints, the meat is so tender it’s delicious.Yep just ordered a slow cooker. Only until they turn 18. Then you charge them for itis there a way to get kids to turn off lights, or is that always my job?
ok. I calculate that's about 10,000 - 15000 more visits to the toilet, bedrooms etc. may be there are sensors you can get, then again they probably use power.Only until they turn 18. Then you charge them for it
Replace all your bulbs/switches with smart bulbs/switches and then you can control them all without having to get up.is there a way to get kids to turn off lights, or is that always my job?
this is good to know.1 LED lightbulb of 5.6w ( 60w filament equivalent) can run 8 hours a night (say 4pm to 12am ) for a month for 46p. So even if you have 10 on every night that's still only £4.60 a month. The case for HAVING to switch the LED room lights off the moment they are no longer needed has never been less. (the discipline is good though) An LED bulb left on for 1 hr more than necessary will take you to the cleaners for 0.2p.
WeirdoNo absolutely no need for that until the temperature is well into single figures - anyway the cold is good for you, try a nice ice cold shower or some cold water swimming
