Central heating on yet?

been quite mild here in Bristol so haven't yet. Sometimes reaches a threshold temperature in the evening and get tempted but have managed to keep it off. Nobody's moaning yet.
Anyone assessed cost of radiators on a smart meter? My partner says I'm obsessed with this new gadget so I guess I'll wait until she's out.

Up at 6am and it was decidedly nippy so had it on for a bit yesterday morning.
Definitely being more careful now about how many lamps on and stuff plugged in too.

I go around the house turning lights off but try not to nag about it.
Experimenting with the smart meter, the slow cooker is by far the most economical way of cooking. Got an air fryer, too, but haven't tested its energy usage yet. The big oven is a joke.

Yep just ordered a slow cooker. Like doing stews etc and some of the recipes ask you to have it in the oven or a low simmer on the hob for hours. Not now. Has anyones reduction in bill kicked in yet??? I’m with Shell and think it starts with my bill this month??

Been quite mild recently, by and large.

Won't be putting my heating on until I absolutely have to, the costs are far too high.

yes, reduced from £144 to £70 something for this month. That's with Octopus.

according to the mrs, slow cooked food is more nutritious, too. perhaps because it's sealed tight, not sure.

I've got a headlamp somewhere. If the shops don't sell out of batteries.

I don't mind wearing an extra layer, but you don't want your home to get invaded by cold and damp.

not yet, 24th Oct is reckoned to be the date in the UK, though have some visitors this eve.. so may turn it on for them... maybe :-D

No absolutely no need for that until the temperature is well into single figures - anyway the cold is good for you, try a nice ice cold shower or some cold water swimming 👍🏻
