Given that West Ham didn't sack Moyes when they were looking like relegation candidates in early Spring, and then he went onto win a European Trophy and is now doing well in Europe and the league cup while sitting mid-table, it would be extremely surprising if he was to be sacked now.
That being said, there is a strange tendency amongst West Ham fans to believe they deserve a 'better' manager than Moyes. While I think Carrick is superb, his achievements as a manager don't (yet) get close to matching Moyes. It would be a very considerable risk on West Ham's part.

110% agree.
He’s done far more than Potter did at an unfashionable club, and not far off Emery - and he’s done it season after season after season.
David Moyes is a F***ing great manager and if West Ham sack him they’ll get what they deserve within a few seasons, which will be relegation
