Carrick now 1/10

Not impressed if after all this time, we end up with someone who has next to no experience in management.
But may potentially bring too of the most experienced coaches around as part of his team, who do you want, what do you think we should do?

It worked for Robbo, Mclaren, Karanka, yet the experienced pros, warnock, wilder, strachan, pulis have all failed to deliver, what is the right decision?

The fact I'm more excited about the shock name on the backroom staff than the managerial appointment itself speaks volumes.

Fingers cross he's bringing Corberan, Wolf and Reiziger with him :ROFLMAO:

There really is no point making any judgements before they've taken charge of a single game!

'Oway Marv. Carrick has good connections. Foden on loan in January?

SG: After a lengthy interview process we have decided that Michael is the best candidate for the job

Reporter: So why is he the best candidate now when you first spoke to him to 2 weeks ago amd in the meantime Middlesbrough have lost two games

SG: Erm well Kieron wanted his mate Rob, but he told us to do one, then Neil wanted his yes man Lee but he said yerjokinarnyer, so in the end it was Michael or Leo and Leo said have you seen the state of this lot I don’t want the bl00dy job. So Michael became the only, sorry best candidate for the role. Any way see you next October when Neil and Kieron decide that Michael has to go.

Said Bruce Junior. I assumed Alex Bruce too but been suggested on oneBoro Gregor Rioch, currently academy manager at Wigan. Has it been confirmed anywhere?

I've no idea whether Michael Carrick will turn out to be a success here if appointed. I've never met him, let alone researched him, vetted him and interviewed him.
He undoubtedly has some strong credentials on paper.
I am choosing to believe that the hold up in his appointment has been around the scope of his role, his complete coaching staff and his input into recruitment.
I hope he has challenged my perception of what Scott's control/influence is.

As for Cattermole, it would be preposterous to appoint a man so utterly without experience or credibility, to be anything other than a patsy for Scott. That said, there is absolutely no reason why Lee Cattermole should not continue his coaching journey with the Under 18's.

As for Leo Percovich, I don't see why any manager should have to retain as a first team coach, somebody he doesn't know. Like most people I'd like Leo to stay with the club, but he should not be with the first team unless the new manager really wants him to be so.

Praying this works. We’re in a right rut and this appointment is huge. We can’t afford to be relegated - not that I think we should be as our squad is more than good enough. But there’s been plenty of good teams - better teams than us - relegated.

Carrick’s played a blinder here.

Whatever he asked for Boro said “No”

He walked away

then after 2 defeats they’ve come back to him and said “Yes”
