Can woody turn it around?

With the break from training and playing it will bring a lot of teams to a level playing field fitness wise, I don't think woodgate has the nouse to take advantage of that, he hasn't shown me he has what it takes to manage a medium sized football club, some of the performances and defending especially has been at times embarrassing, I really do worry that we will go down.

But look at how many injuries we have had in that defence. Look at how few times we have been able to play half that defence in consecutive games never mind the whole of it. Our best runs of games this season have coincided with having more of the squad fit and available. If we re-start the way started away at Luton then surely we can bag some more points and breathe easier.

I love your enthusiasm and I really hope you're right. If we play like we did at luton though a decent side would have picked us apart.

Surely we played our best football in and around Christmas when we had injury and suspension issues. We literally had no recognised squad members on the bench and were forced into a formation and selection that worked. Our form went back out the window when we had more players to select. Seemed as if we were forced into a team selection and formation that worked and when more players became available Woody didn’t know how to fit them all in

Doesn't really work as well as a theory when the line up changed every match during our good run of form too.

Ayala then got injured, though I'm not placing the victories at his feet either.

A good crop of young players came in during our purple patch?

I think we might scrape through, literally

Spence and Coulson were prominent over the Christmas period and could argue Spence would not have been in the team but for injuries. Once players started to return we seen the likes of friend and shotton return to the fold.

Coulson was never dropped, though his position changed to one he is more suited, Shotton came in because Ayala and then Fry were injured.

Spence undeniably made the team because of injuries, and was then dropped because of an attitude issue by all accounts, even alluded to by himself.

That's the spirit Skirmish!

The squad was small at the beginning of this season and the new signings were not up to full Championship standard and Woody was obviously brand new. We also had a lot new young debutees (the most I can ever remember) To me we improved as the season moved on, not dramatically but little bit by bit. The low point was the Leeds away defeat.

I think it would probably be a good idea for woody to get other teams to eat gone off food so they feel a little under the weather when they play us.. it could help us get over the line 🤣

So weird to think after all this nonsense we could still get relegated and nobody would give a ***

Shotton gets too much stick on here. Good pro.

Woodgate is a poor manager, but there may be just enough talent in the squad to stay up. Whether they have the desire to match is another question

Wether we stay up or not he needs gone

I’m really worried about our manager . He simply does not have what it takes and if we do survive just get rid of him and forget all this project nonsense .
I don’t enjoy saying it but only saying what everyone’s thinking

1. We have one of the toughest run ins of those fighting for survival.
2. We have 7 players who are out of contract with no real buy in to our survival other than praying for their personal integrity and professionalism.
3. Our owner voted for the only outcome that could see us relegated, in part I agree mind, as football integrity is important. The selfish in me though says..... what a damn foolish thing to do.
4. We have the most inexperienced (and daftest) head coach in the division.
5. As they say on TikTok.............I think you know where this about to go :(
