This is where the job gets difficult for managers, when giving press conferences and post match interviews do they speak to the fans (who want honesty) or the players (who he'll be best placed to know what they might need to hear to be ready for the next game).
I think Warnock is a great public speaker and is usually really honest but I think at times he will protect his team and say what's needed rather than the truth. I get it's frustrating as you want him to say what we as fans are seeing, but I can live with it on the odd occasion when it's needed. I think Warnock is savvy enough to pick and choose when he does this, rather than adopt the Stevie Mac approach of saying everything is "magnificent" even if what you've just watched is utter dross. When that happens every week it annoys fans and removes credibility from the manager.
As you posted on another thread Block, the next 6 games are very winnable and Warnock needs to prepare us for those as a good 12 to 14 point haul will have us back in contention again.
