I thought that, when it switched from sweet Caroline or whatever they were ambling around to into freed from desire I thought wtf?? It's not the last game of the season. That was absolute cringe
They are a PL team. They deserve to be there. But to do a lap of honour second game of the season because the smashed a p*ss poor Man U team 4-0 - no.
Absolutely small time, and as a club they are better than that.
Not second game of the season in a completely random PL game.Just looks like they're showing appreciation to the fans on the back of a good result?
Happens all the time.
I think they do this most weeks as appreciation to the support, Liverpool do something similar. That was absolute cringe

No problem with clapping the fans, all players do this after the match......on the way off the pitch. Going over to the away fans after the game, again, no issues. Most of our players go around and clap all the stands in almost all of our home wins.
They do it during plenty of the losses too.
I suppose the manager doesn't tend to, but I'm not really seeing the issue.
It's a big and impressive win.

But 20 mins after the game still on the pitch doing a lap of honour? Bet you £1 91 other League clubs didn't do that yesterday no matter how good the results.
This is so true, my trigger at the minute is kids running on the pitch.Football fans get so bothered by the strangest things.
I feel like that's fair though. This is so true, my trigger at the minute is kids running on the pitch.
Chelsea won the league the year before and that season too. Beat them 3-0 though!Never for one moment got "annoyed" at it. A full scale lap of honour - imo - was cringey. Brentford are - imo - a good PL team so do they need to do it like a Conference team beating a PL team in the 3rd round of the cup?
I'm happy for the club and their fans - can't remember us doing this when we beat a title winning Man U team 4-1
Well IMO the only cringy thing is your determination to deny Brentford the chance to enjoy celebrating a victory that most will never have experienced in their lifetimes, but they’ll still be talking about it 20 years from now.Never for one moment got "annoyed" at it.
