Brentford's Lap of Honour

That was absolute cringe 😖😖

They are a PL team. They deserve to be there. But to do a lap of honour second game of the season because the smashed a p*ss poor Man U team 4-0 - no.

Absolutely small time, and as a club they are better than that.
I thought that, when it switched from sweet Caroline or whatever they were ambling around to into freed from desire I thought wtf?? It's not the last game of the season.

Was very cringey, it's not a 3rd round FA cup upset with United at Forest Green Rovers.

Most of our players go around and clap all the stands in almost all of our home wins.

They do it during plenty of the losses too.

I suppose the manager doesn't tend to, but I'm not really seeing the issue.
It's a big and impressive win.
No problem with clapping the fans, all players do this after the match......on the way off the pitch. Going over to the away fans after the game, again, no issues.

But 20 mins after the game still on the pitch doing a lap of honour? Bet you £1 91 other League clubs didn't do that yesterday no matter how good the results.

Brentford do it most weeks.

Most clubs do this after every game including us, it’s not a lap of honour it’s just applauding their supporters

Couldn’t blame them if they did though, just over ten years ago they were in league 2, it’s a huge result

Professional football exists for entertainment.
Fans were happy and players embraced the moment and looks like everyone was enjoying themselves.
They'll be many other days when they don't feel this way, so cash in when you can!

Never for one moment got "annoyed" at it. A full scale lap of honour - imo - was cringey. Brentford are - imo - a good PL team so do they need to do it like a Conference team beating a PL team in the 3rd round of the cup?
I'm happy for the club and their fans - can't remember us doing this when we beat a title winning Man U team 4-1 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Chelsea won the league the year before and that season too. Beat them 3-0 though!

Well IMO the only cringy thing is your determination to deny Brentford the chance to enjoy celebrating a victory that most will never have experienced in their lifetimes, but they’ll still be talking about it 20 years from now.

I remember beating Lazio in our first UEFA Cup season and partying the night away in celebration - yet that was just a group game against a moderately successful Italian side. 🤷🏼‍♂️
