The Daily Mail report says these people COULD be locked down. It could have said COULD NOT, but then it wouldn't be much of a story.

I'm no supporter of this government but what's being reported is a possible response to a severe upturn in the spread of the virus.

We collectively do not know the full picture, could you have handled it better without hind sight? Most of us have our own agenda, ie people who want to work, people who don't, young ,old. We are all different and therefore you will get different responses but we are not as clever as we all think we are.

How long are people going to put up with this bull****?
If this country brings in another lockdown I beg of you all to ignore it.
People are ignoring the advice which is why we will be in a position where another lockdown will happen.

I generally respect your differing opinions on lockdown, but to "beg" people to ignore government advice, especially those who are clinically vulnerable to this virus, is vile and abhorrent.

Guessing you are retired and already have your nice cushy nest egg?

Those who are vunerable should of course continue to shield. But why should everybody be punished with house arrest yet again?

I for one will personally be ignoring it, it affected my kids, it affected my mental and physical health. Arrest me. I'll have my day in court.

Spoiler - I'll win in court too.

Wonder where you got that idea from!
From listening to some really sad real life stories of peoples lives, where families have been torn apart amongst other things over issues like drink, drugs, gambling and other poor lifestyle choices. There are some really sad families out there hopeless, unfortunately there are a few really selfish people that do exist who do little to nothing for the parents or grandparents, but will be happy to receive or expect an inheritance.

No I'm 32 years old and care about people.

Your idea that people are being "punished" is absolutely bizarre.

Unfortunately 'lad' I live in the real world and don't wake up everyday terrified of death.
Nor do I. But I would like as many people to live as possible, that doesn't mean I'm terrified, it means I care.

Answer the question, what do the government benefit?
