Bolasie.

He's 32 and clearly not in any rush to find a club. I am sure after 4 years at Everton he's made for life (80k a week).

I find it strange he just doesn't want to play. I'm not sure what Boro offered but even if it's 10k a week for two years it's something.

He could have had a full pre season and Warnock bbq and played a couple of matches. He seems happy posting 'tekkers' videos😂

Bizarre character -- was hoping that he'd sign for us before the season starts but obviously he wants to maximise his profits at Goodison-- laughing all the way to the bank.

I honestly can't believe he hasn't resigned for us yet, seemed like a match made in heaven really and with the crowd back he could really thrive

Personally, I have no bad feelings towards him for not accepting our contract offer. We were probably only offering him £10k a week, and if he genuinely felt at the time that another club would come along and offer him the £30k he was hoping for, then you can't blame him for trying. He didn't owe us anything.

I'd wait a bit and then offer him the £10k a week contract again, as the longer he is without a club, the more desperate he will become.

He impressed me last season, not just his performances on the pitch but how he seemed to be in the dressing room. Seemed like somebody who would be great for team morale.

I was one of those who didn’t want him and felt he was a bad egg having rejected us after drawn out negotiations twice before. However, his attitude was spot on last season and he was a proper positive character who gave his all, and completely proved me wrong. I’d have him back in a heartbeat.
Come on lad, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush! Come and play some actual football for us!

Agree with this totally but just think if he was signing for us he would of by now. We can’t wait too long.
He is happy to wait but we can’t

A player who appears to want to sign for a club that will pay him somewhere near what he expects. The bottom line is we are his insurance policy if all else fails. As we are desperate- yes desperate, to get bodies in he knows he can play a waiting game .

Doesn’t sit comfortably with me however others may feel he is within his rights and using us as his fallback is absolutely fine.

I'd have him back. The question is does he makes us better? The answer going by his performances last season suggests yes.

That said I wouldn't break the bank. Its pretty much dead money (wages and no doubt signing on fee). He's 32 and I would presume wants a minimum of 2 years. So he leaves and 34 and no chance making any money or him getting better.

We keep mentioning 10k a week. I'd imagine he's after double or maybe even more. Just remember it's his final move and he's been on 80k a week. I think his demands are pretty telling in that he's still without a club. I imagine his agent has offered him to everyone.
