Bolasie.

How long will he wait until a sizable offer from a club comes in, if it does, why not play for someone who wants you, somewhere you said you enjoyed it, kicking you feels waiting for someone to pay a few £s more for your services when you closer to hanging up your boots

Just sign up for the Boro & enjoy the time you have left in the game, it's not as if he's going to spend the money he's, already earned throughout his career

I'm not too fussed if he signs or not TBH,

Couldn't care less whether he returns or not. He did ok here and had a better attitude than I feared, but he hardly set the place on fire. Jones looked much more exciting on sunday and I'd rather spend a high wage on a younger better player and prospect than Bolasie
Agree that's why I don't understand a player of his age, with the amount of money he's earned, still waiting for bigger offers, when he'll be well paid even at the Boro

Says a lot about him really

Because it’s likely going to be one of the last contracts he ever earns. It’s easy to say football players have made loads of cash but most went born into money management skills and most end up bankrupt after a few years as your income dries up but you have to survive on it for the next 50 odd years, will have expensive cats, house, family, staff etc

Yea an enviable position but doesn’t mean you don’t want to secure the best for you and your family’s future

He is married with 3 children and will want to do the best for them as he possibly can, regardless of what he has already put away as even if he goes into coaching or management, the salary will be drops of water in the ocean compared to playing

I'd love to have him back, get him high up the pitch and on the ball and he will create and score. He has the class to score double figures from the wing at this level. I'd have him back in a hearbeat, can work either wing, or emergency CF, can give advice to the young wingers and it would be one last hurrah to chase promotion

me too. Having him for a full season can tip the balance I think

I disagree, but that's what the board is about.

Jesus, wasn't he putting away 80 grand a week for four years at Everton? How much do players want?

As much as they can get, seeing as it has to last them the rest of their lives which what 99.9999% of people would do in their position as well

He won’t have been living off 5k a week and saving 75k a week, so what he earned before is largely irrelevant

It’s the same in any sport, they get given masses of cash for what they do but they will also be spending loads of it and have fixed costs once that income ends. Over 40% of football, nfl, nba etc players end up going bankrupt post retirement

those days are gone, he has two choices 15k a week (with a promotion bonus) with a club like us or retire

Mine was a response to Fragrance Guy and to the idea of 'a last big payout'. Surely, like all of us, he'll have investments and enough in the bank for rainy days. This talk about last big contracts is ridiculous.

I agree with your posts. If he can't stomach 15 grand per week then I don't know what to say.

Very important to think of the feline expenses, especially post-Brexit.

Why should he if he feels like he is worth more? Why should anyone? It’s his future and his families, fans forget about players rapidly after retirement with a few exceptions and die hards.

Like you say, like all of us, he probably will have investments and cash, but unlike all of us he is 32, rather than retiring at 65-70 Ana going to have an expensive lifestyle to maintain for possibly the next 60 years if he stays healthy, and will want a legacy to leave to his kids beyond that.

Like all of us he will want the best he believes he can get for his family.
