Bbq’s

The reason they cremate everything is they get the BBQ too hot too quickly and cook any food items too quickly, hence the burnt and raw results 😂

Doing a BBQ is like making love to a beautiful famous actress.
You must take your time, make sure she's ready before placing your meat/veg and don't rush to the finish as you don't have that opportunity for a perfect BBQ again.

Love my weber and charcoal divider - half for direct heat and half indirect for my steaks.. Slow and steady

I’ve got mates who say the same who cremate everything in sight at their one august bank holiday bbq a year...

Gas BBQ midweek and get the coals out at the weekend when I’ve got the time 👌 best of both worlds.
So you're basing your decision on getting an outdoor gas grill on the fact you know people who can't use a charcoal bbq correctly? You can't have much confidence in your own ability either.

A good charcoal bbq started with a chimney can be started very quickly. A good charcoal will also have the ability to adjust the height of the charcoal too.

I agree that charcoal is the way to go and gas ain't a bbq but each to their own.

I’m actually laughing at your pettiness to go out of your way to call it an outdoor gas grill. 🤣🤣

You completely missed my point, what I’m saying is that I’ve got friends who claim a gas BBQ isn’t a real BBQ yet only get the thing out once a year, I don’t value their opinion, same way I don’t value yours.

The lad came on asking for advice on a BBQ with gas being his preference, yet people come on giving opinions on how a Gas BBQ isn’t an actual BBQ. Unreal.

Anyways I’m just about to tuck into a burger and need some outdoor gas grill sauce out the fridge.

That's fair enough. I don't take notice of usernames and (wrongly) assumed you were the OP and were explaining why you were wanting to avoid a charcoal one. No offence meant.

And glad you liked my pettiness!

🤣🤣🤣 where do you get the sauce from Joey 👍

who knew that bbq snobbery was a real thing
yeah this is. i have a family member with a 1000 quid bbq, never uses it. but its bigger than mine so that's okay! haha

another family member uses his charcoal one year round. but then when you go to a bbq at his there is literally only meat. no sides. so i wouldn't class that as a proper bbq experience

I’ve got a gas BBQ / Grill. Used it maybe 20 times a year, sometimes on a warm evening I just want to cook outside. And be stood outside with a beer cooking my dinner, so it works perfectly for that.

However, this years project, for when friends are coming over, I’m getting a fire pit with tripod courtesy of Mrs Jostler, so I can cook some whole pieces of meat over it. definitely for weekends only

I have a Charbroil Kettleman, similar to a Weber kettle BBQ but a bit cheaper and it’s great. I’ve also got a Traeger which aren’t cheap but are brilliant, not a bbq as such but worth considering depending on what you’re planning on cooking. Smoking ribs, brisket etc for 6-10 hours has pretty much become a weekend hobby for me!

Had a look at some outback ones. 550 can get a dual one. So I can’t still have me convenience and satisfy the bbq snobs in here 😬

My parents have that mate, it's unreal. It's marketed as a BBQ / Outdoor Gas Grill Hybrid if I remember correctly. Also has a built in feature where it tuts at you if you fire the gas one up.
:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Never ceases to amaze me this place.

"I'd like advice on a gas BBQ please"

[Paraphrasing] "You're an idiot and don't know what you are doing"

I’ve delivered hundreds of the Cosmo grills & Webber. Haven’t heard a bad word about them.
Have been told easy to assemble even with the help of a 3 & 5 year old.
Good luck with which ever one you go for

Better quality parts? Porcelain enamelled cast iron cooking grates, iGrill compatibility, top end burners, double-walled air insulated lid, stainless steel side tables, Weber's flavour enhancing cooking bars, a 10 year warranty. Personal choice how much people want to spend on a BBQ of course, same with whether you want to cook with gas, charcoal or wood.
