Arrogant and clueless drivers - more about than ever?

Or getting right to the end of it and then parking !!
If there isn’t a gap you have to give way to be fair. Its up to you to join safely rather that others to get out of your way (although they should move over if safe to do so).

Rule 134 of the Highway Code says: "In congested road conditions do not change lanes unnecessarily. Merging in turn is recommended but only if safe and appropriate when vehicles are travelling at a very low speed, e.g. when approaching road works or a road traffic incident. It is not recommended at high speed."

So approaching the roadworks people should merge in turn, approaching the junction with the a174 they should get in the correct lane safely and in good time.

People turning right at a roundabout, but only putting the left indicator on as they leave without putting the initial (and more important) right indicator on the start with.

its even worse than not indicating at all, as they clearly know of the existence of the indicator but just use it completely illogically.

Middle lane crawlers is definitely the most annoying driver for me, infuriating.

Throwing cigarette butt's/litter out of the window.

Not necessarily a driver issue, but cars with lights bright enough to see into souls of your unborn great grandchildren.

It's not the first time I have returned to Thornaby and kept in the R/H lane and getting pelters from idiots who try to get in, not my place to move across. I did see one driver bottle it and had to stay on the A19 and then there are the chevron crosses. They have plenty of time to get in earlier.

Especially big SUVs behind you if you drive a normal car as the lights are always in your mirrors and always seem to be pointing too high.

Not really what I mean though, clear road to join and they still stop.

Oh I forgot about joining a motorway stuck behind someone doing 39mph. The knock on effect is 5 cars joining in a line with an hgv steaming up behind car No5 at 60mph😂

Driving and football..... Two things that will absolutely wind me up. I always enjoy driving back after an awayday defeat lol.

The biggest one is folk sitting in the middle lane on a motorway doing 50-70 mph and not remotely overtaking anything. So I'm sat at 70 in the first lane and a car is going 60 in the middle. I have to go all the way round to slot back into the first lane.
I don't bother, if I'm in the inside lane & the middle lane is going slower I stay in my lane.

HWC Rule 268
In congested conditions, where adjacent lanes of traffic are moving at similar speeds, traffic in left-hand lanes may sometimes be moving faster than traffic to the right. In these conditions you may keep up with the traffic in your lane even if this means passing traffic in the lane to your right. Do not weave in and out of lanes to overtake.

To be fair he does say "not remotely overtaking anything"

It's when they do it on empty or partially full motorways. Partially full is tough because then you have a backlog of cars in the outside lane trying to overtake them. You've essentially turned a three lane road into a 2 lane road and you're slowing everyone down.

When did Chevrons in town or car parks become personal parking spaces, e.g. middle of road outside Spar on Eston high street

I do it even if we are the only two vehicles on the road. I'd have to 'weave' across two lanes to overtake & then 'weave' back to get to the inside, or I could just stay in my lane as traffic in my lane is moving faster than traffic in their lane, as per HWC rule 268.
