The super natural was in episode 1 series 1 with the racehorse too. Nothing new.I agree with the OP; I'll watch it to the end, but I'm not into it like I was the first few series. I'm currently a week behind in my viewing, which probably tells you all you need to know.
As these things tend to do when they've almost run their course, it seems to have become about characters, rather than about plots. In previous series, Tommy's goals and motivations, and the threats to them, have been clearly defined. Now, it's one thing to keep the viewer guessing, but I'm not convinced the writers know where this is going either.
I dislike the emphasis on the supernatural angle in this series so far, but it's possible that this is just Tommy's perception, and an insight into his mental health, rather than a suggestion the supernatural is real.
It’s a slow burner, previous series were about the Peaky Blinders growing their business, it’s all under threat now.
