Any Man U player you fear us coming up against?

I have it on good authority from the missus that the player that they are getting excited about at the moment is young Anthony Elanga, recently broke into the first team and playing well. Young Swedish U21 player who has a big career ahead of him.

Utd will set up in Rangnick's favoured 4-2-2-2 surely?

Their style relies on lightning quick transitions and quick diagonal balls, trying to force the opposition out of their position and create overloads. Both of our wing backs will need to have exceptional nights I think.

Re: Elanga, I sat next to him and his agent on a flight to Stockholm a couple of years ago - apparently Utd were already banking him on being a big success. I've not seen a lot of him but he looks technically excellent with superb movement. Tracking his runs will be key (if he plays).

Play the kids, get dicked 4-0 , who cares .
last thing we need is an injury or a suspension to any of our key players

Nah, not particularly. If we were playing City or Liverpool I’d say we were going to get smashed and could pick at least 6-8 individuals who are in a completely different league to us.

United aren’t very good. Fernandes is a brilliant player when he’s on song and Ronaldo is Ronaldo, but I don’t think Ronaldo single-handedly beats us, he’s not that player anymore. Midfield average, defence poor, great keeper. Pogba’s a spare part 75% of the time and dominant the rest. Team as a whole just not playing well, major issues behind the scenes, not really working with the caretaker manager.

They’re better than us, but they don’t scare me.

I don’t have anywhere near the same level of fear or respect for them as ive had in previous years. I think the fact we will be a bit of an unknown quantity to them will work in our favour.
Crooks and Jones to shine, Tav to his best game of the season, Watmore to get the all
important goal, whether he’s in from the start or comes off the bench, and Fry to have Ronaldo in his pocket. Can’t wait for this one!

TBH, I could name about 4, possibly 5 players off the top of my head who play for Man Utd, not interested in them at all, but for me, they will have to have an off day, & we'll have to play above ourselves to try & get something out of the game

Can we beat them, well our history has proved we can, the players will be told they can, its a cup match, nonpoints at stake just go out & enjoy the whole occassion

Really looking forward to this game

Can you name those players because of their prowess though?

Or more to do with blanket coverage by the media?

Midfield battle will also be interesting. McTominay is a hell of a player, will be a decent battle against him.

Do think we can get at Fred though - he has improved under Rangnick and finds space well but I don't think he fancies the physical side too much. I'd be telling Howson to get stuck into him early doors.

Think for me the game will be interesting to see how our squad would be able to cope in the Premier League. It would be an indication at least. Tav, Dijksteel, Crooks, Fry and Sporar in particular. Jones is still developing. Have no doubt McNair will and Howson will be replaced if we happen to get promoted.

Good point. The only rider to that is if you remember our victory at Etihad in 2015 Lee Tomlin ran the show that day but he was never going to hack it in the PL.

Cup matches are unique.

To me there is a stand out player and probably be a surprise- Scott McTominay. Think this lad has come on leaps and bounds. Strong, powerful, box to box midfielder, strong in the tackle, can both create and score goals.

Be happy not to see him in their team when we go there.
I'd agree with that. Scott McTominay looks like a real quality player. Too good for United imo
