I think Tavernier will start as LWB tonightUtd will set up in Rangnick's favoured 4-2-2-2 surely?
Their style relies on lightning quick transitions and quick diagonal balls, trying to force the opposition out of their position and create overloads. Both of our wing backs will need to have exceptional nights I think.
Re: Elanga, I sat next to him and his agent on a flight to Stockholm a couple of years ago - apparently Utd were already banking him on being a big success. I've not seen a lot of him but he looks technically excellent with superb movement. Tracking his runs will be key (if he plays).
Sam Morsy would have LOVED a go at Ronaldo!!excited for the game ! Just hope we put up a decent fight
Potentially, or if doesn't he'll need to spend a lot of time doubling up with the LWB.I think Tavernier will start as LWB tonight
That was my first thought when Payero came on against Coventry. Can't wait to see our lads step up.. the lads on loan will be wanting to make their mark.I actually think we might counter that by playing a high line tonight, probably the most effective way of nullifying the quick switches but we'll need to get the offside trap spot.
The Irish Isaiah Jones?
More Nureyev, than a Jones. The Irish Isaiah Jones?
This didn't age well.I have it on good authority from the missus that the player that they are getting excited about at the moment is young Anthony Elanga, recently broke into the first team and playing well. Young Swedish U21 player who has a big career ahead of him.
No, she didn’t either!This didn't age well.
