I seen Messi in flesh. No one comes close but that’s just my opinion

Saw him in the flesh twice.

Once for Barca, scored with a handball and then scored another.

Once for Argentina at Monumental. He was honestly the worst player on the pitch.

Still, I’m not basing his entire career on that. Seen him play mint on telly dozens of times.

I always bite when it comes to Messi. It’s my weak spot, I’m like that with family and friends too. I don’t know why, obviously he’s someone I just love everything about.

A better footballer?

Not sure on that one.

Would not be shocked if he scores the most goals, he's an incredible striker, but he's very much a goalscorer first.

Even then, he needs to score another 641 goals+ before his career ends to set that record.

Even if he played till he was 40, that's 32 goals a season to reach that.

Just giving the forum my opinion, messi is the best player to grace the game in the last 20 years at least, there will be others who go on to surpass him. In terms of a Ronaldo vs messi thing I’d say it’s pretty close but messi edges it. Both of those greats will be taken over in the next few years, it’s natural progression within the game. I think it’s hard to compare when it comes to pele and maradonna etc so I wouldn’t do that.
