Absolutely dreading Newcastle winning something

I'd rather see Newcastle winning something than the trophies being shared around the so called big 6, particularly with a good English manager. Its good to shake things up a bit.
 
I find it difficult to care about them nowadays because it's been so long since we last played them. I bet there will be a new generation of Newcastle fans who won't even be aware that we're supposed to be North-East rivals, and many of them probably don't ever look out for our results.

That will probably all change again though if we end up in the same division, as no doubt their fans will sing the paedo songs when they come here.
 
It's nothing to worry about really, they have joined the realms of the mega rich clubs and let's face it, it's all a bit soulless once you're there. Let them have it, it means nothing to us and shouldn't even fuss the Mackems. There is good football to enjoy away from that particular bubble so let's enjoy what we have going on here.
 
It doesn’t bother me in the slightest, Newcastle have the Saudi money, Sunderland a French billionaire’s toy.. and we’ve got the league cup from 2004.

Happy with super Michael Carrick.. best of luck to our north east neighbours.
 
I agree with a lot of posters who have said it’s not the same these days.

I don’t mean the rivalry but the way clubs win trophies.

It is about nothing more than money.

The Geordies keep claiming Eddie Howe is some kind of miracle worker but it’s clear the extra finance is already having a big effect.

The top end of the Prem is nothing more than a circus these days, it’s meaningless.

Precisely - Newcastle Utd being successful will have zero benefit to anyone outside of Newcastle. The notion it would have one iota of positive impact on Middlesbrough is quite laughable, in fact it’s more likely to make us seem even less significant
 
Dont worry, its going to happen soon. FA cup. premier league are both possible this year. Europe qualification also
I find it best just to ignore it. 😁

Man City being successful has had a positive impact on Arsenal. I’d say they have improved the England squad too..

A North East team being successful will benefit the north east more than a north west one or a southern team.
 
Gives zero fks about NUFC
Does care though that a demonic regime can have such an influence on the very fabric of our national soul.

Newcastle winning anything will have zero positives for us. It won’t raise our profile, it won’t attract better players, it won’t raise our gates, it won’t get us more tv coverage - there are no positives !
