Abramovich

Wouldn't it be an amazing gesture if MFC donated all profits from the game to organisations involved in the relief appeal.

A big stretch I know, given FFP, but a great opportunity to be shown not to profit.
We need every penny of our share, but perhaps that's the only fair outcome for the share we're meant to send to Chelsea.

Think that the only people in the country not supporting Boro a week on Saturday will be the Chelsea ones sat at home watching. We'll have the whole country behind us, should get selling Boro car flags now.
Mind you, that goes for any team that plays them from now on.

wonder how much he paid into the Tory Party to buy his citizenship?
It also completely devalues everything Chelsea have won over the last 20 years. If not actually stripped of titles then there will always be a massive asterisk next to everything they have won, Chelsea fans can't sing their champions of Europe nonsense.

Think on Newcastle & City fans.
Sadly they will be sold quickly and it will be business as usual (as they say in Business-speak Land).

Why? It's not as if they've been caught cheating.

Indeedo is the man to ask. But how can you transact a deal, to a person who has sanctions against him, without getting his signature on it and a flow of cash?

They probably won't have titles taken from them but I think it ruins their 'legacy'.

It's akin to saying yes we won loads but it was paid for with blood money so I cant's see their fans boasting about this period.

Obviously the likes of the scum that sang abromivich's name during the Ukraine applause will but their views count for nothing.

I think the whole point of these strict sanctions is to make sure he sells the club on OUR TERMS.

How could he possibly continue owning the club?

Can’t sell any tickets next season. Can’t sign players. Can’t sell players. Can’t offer contracts to existing players.
The point I was trying to make is he can't continue to run the club, but he owns 100% of the club, so can they make him sell or could he just refuse to sell which would cause problems for UK government and The FA as a sort of punishment for sanctions. Would probably take a legal battle to actually seize the club. By that time Chelsea would be on free fall financially and the value dropped considerably. When it was announced he would sell he was still keeping X amount of money from the sale, now he won't be getting money from the sale would he rather they just fold than give them away.

Russian isn’t the only blood money. Anywhere in the Middle East has the same unwanted provenance.
