.

My take on is his season so far has been split into quarters and it's been reflected in the team and results.

Start of the season, not creating chances and not scoring goals (particularly Derby away where he was just wasteful)

Then starts creating chances but we don't put them away (not his fault)

Then creates chances and we start scoring (Sheffield United, Norwich)

Then starts scoring as well as creating chances (QPR, Luton)

Every time he improves his output, the team improves. But that's not to say he wasn't cr@p at the start of the season. Right now the lad is on fire and if he maintains his form he's going to take some stopping.
The biggest change for me in this good run is we are more direct and our attacking passing is at a quicker pace. I think carrick has tweaked it and we have gone up a level.

Do we expect bids in January?

I think prem teams will be snooping but his lack of pace might mean they overlook him thankfully for us.

Top class players are like flies. They see everything in slow motion (as an oldie, Bobby Murdoch comes to mind) but you don't expect to to see this in the Championship.

Finn was 2 inches off a hat trick on Saturday, as one of his second half shots came off the post with the Oxford keeper well beaten.

Not bad for one of the "slowest players in the Championship" in September.

It's amazing how much a difference only one month can make to people's opinions of a footballer.

His creative numbers have been brilliant all season, even when we weren't scoring as much.

The difference now is the fact we are taking our chances.

Now the last 3 games we've scored 15 goals, but we have massively overperformed our xG, however, it's great to see as we were massively underperforming earlier into the season.

We've continued to put up fantastic numbers all seasons, and we are now seeing the end results.

Hopefully Finn Azaz continues what he's been doing all season. He's a creative monster in this league and with Conway/ELL up front, they should continue to score goals.

I see….

Done that about a million times on the thread but not good enough apparently. Getting a bit boring repeating myself I must say
No harm in being wrong. That's football and opinions.

We're all wrong - on many occasions.

Except OnTheMap. He was never wrong.

I'd still leave the thread there available though, to save someone creating another one on Azaz on Wednesday when he rips in another brace ;)
