The best thing about this thread is, we are all debating a player we all really are happy with and bang in form. There isn't a single person on the board unhappy with Azaz right now. He will probably win November play of the month if he ends the month as well as he's started it.
 
From the Sheff U win where he played a good ball for LL's great headed winner, he has 3 goals and 3 assists from open play in the 5 matches (from laughing's own "analysis")
Prior to that he had 0 goals and 2 assists from corners in 10 matches.

And he hasn't improved recently...?

My take on is his season so far has been split into quarters and it's been reflected in the team and results.

Start of the season, not creating chances and not scoring goals (particularly Derby away where he was just wasteful)

Then starts creating chances but we don't put them away (not his fault)

Then creates chances and we start scoring (Sheffield United, Norwich)

Then starts scoring as well as creating chances (QPR, Luton)

Every time he improves his output, the team improves. But that's not to say he wasn't cr@p at the start of the season. Right now the lad is on fire and if he maintains his form he's going to take some stopping.
 
A great finish, and always involved. With a bruiser of a tackle in there too. A great 1st half performance
 
Like a lot of others, I wondered what we bought him for, after his first few games. He looked very ordinary. Oh, how things have changed. :)

This lad can pass. His pass for Lath's 3rd was totally superb - Lath didnt take a touch - the pass was perfect enough for him just to crack the fuc.ker in with his left foot.
Our recruitment has gone from one extreme to the other: Azaz, Lath, Morris, Conway, McGree, VDB could all go for big, big money.

I was actually being a bit deliberately biased when I put that he was the best player in the championship and that he’d get 20 goals and assists, but actually I think I might have been right about him being the best and 20 was an underestimate!

Edit-also sorry to resurrect this thread again, nobody read the first two pages!😁

He has been creating chances all season his colleagues are just taking them now but fair point he also banging some crackers in now

Yes, he did get some stick after the Bristol city match, but ELL missed a gilt edged chance that he created. He couldn't do much more to put it on a plate.
