3 players to get us promoted

There's a clause that he goes back to villa for a certain fee now SU are relegated
It was a bizarre deal Sheffield Utd and Villa did. Essentially it is a season long loan that gets made permanent if they stay up. The signed him for a relatively small fee, with the rest payable if they stay up. If they went down, Villa can re-sign him for the same fee Sheffield paid up front.

If we could find a wide left player with similar attributes to marcus tavenier
Harvey Knibbs 16 goals scored 6 assists LW
and Sam Smith 16 goals 1 assist CF
Femi Azeez 9 goals 9 assists RW
very good stats at Reading , could they step up ?
Not suggesting they are the 3 to make a difference btw.
We need more than 3 with Mcnair , Dijksteel, Hoppe , Dieng , Glover , and the 4 loans going back , that's 9 at least, and rumours of Mcgree and Forss going.

Loads of good young players in league 1.

Harrison Burrows Peterborough - could be available on a free - 14 assists and 6 goals from LB this season - only 22 years old.
Femi Azeez - Reading - 22 year old RW - 8 goals and 9 assists this season.
Max Bird - Derby - Played over 200 games for them and still only 23 years old - 6 goals 7 assists from CM this season.
Kwame Poku - Peterborough - RW - 22 years old - 12 goals 8 assists.

Femi Azeez and Fin Azaz in the same team would be a commentators nightmare

Not sure we should (or will) be looking at stand out performers from the championship. Agents will be trying to drum up interest with prem teams which will probably price us out.

As mentioned above a lot of last seasons incomings were from foreign leagues outside the big 5 (Denmark, Switzerland, Australia etc) and I would assume we are still active in those markets among others.

Also makes commercial sense as youre likely to get a similar standard of player without playing the "English league" tax.

I do think we may spend the majority of our budget Next season on Championship ready players.
This season we had:
Championship ready: Dieng, O'Brien, Ayling, Azaz
Some Championship or Premier league experience: Rogers, Greenwood, Thomas
No Championship experience and moving from a league of better or similar standard: RVDB, Latte Lath, Bangura
No Championship experience and moving from a league of a lower level: Silvera, Engel, Glover, J Jones
No meaningful experience at a senior level: Gilbert

I do think this summer that we'll be mostly be shopping the top 3 categories.

Darren Randolph free Brynn / Hemming return
BN Cuffy loan or Ayling free/ KK Hayden free
Max Lowe or Luke Thomas free
Alan Browne free or Lewis O'Brien £4m
Juninho Bacuna £3.5m
Tyrese Dolan free
Callum O'hare free
Jay Stansfield £6m
Sam Gallagher free
Would that suffice ? Replacing Dieng , Glover , Mcnair , Greenwood , Hoppe , Mcgree , Forss, ( Ayling , Thomas , O'Brien )

I think O'Hare will end up in the Premier league (or maybe Rangers/Celtic) but I wouldn't be surprised to see 1 or 2 from that list here next season.

Dolan yes - especially if Forss is angling to leave. We're a light on that side.
Browne - really high chance especially as Carrick may think we're light on experience
Bacuna is an interesting one. Really good player but I don't think he's defensively strong enough to play in the centre unless we get a really strong DM, in which case he would be playing alongside a DM instead of Hackney.
Stansfield - I think we need someone who can play #9 and another position equally well. Not sure he can. I have seen people saying that Tom Cannon can play the second striker role and looking at his heat map last season, maybe that's the case. I had always thought he was more of the Archer type, playing on the shoulder of the last defender but if he can play something like the Akpom role then that makes him really interesting. He could play instead of ELL when ELL's not available or off form and can play the #10/Second Striker role at other times.

I'm surprised no ones mentioned Morgan Whittaker? Not only a fantastic scoring record in a poor side but a very good all round footballer. I'd sign him in a heart beat.

Also another vote for Tyrese Dolan - he's looked very lively whenever I've seen him. Out of contract in the summer too.

Whittaker quality but comes at a high price of £12m + and we won't spend that on one player.

On one Boro , ' the Jew' has said Archer swap for Hackney .
Also another poster has said we are in for a South American .
Kaine Kesler Hayden on our wanted list also mentioned , could be him and Archer for Hackney ?
Interesting times .

Every club our level will be fighting for O'Hare and Dolan. I don't think we should waste our time trying.

We should bring Thomas and Ayling through the door on day 1 of the window opening - great free transfers at this level.

Sam Gallagher on a free would be a good backup option for LL too.

I would like to think we will be in for both , and can promise them 1st team and promotion hope. We should be trying IMO .
Alan Browne another one . Sam Gallagher , Danny McNamara , Alex Mowatt ,Lundstram , Darren Randolph . All good , experienced players on frees .

Sorba Thomas has created the most chances of any player in the Championship....and Huddersfield are going down....

Come on guys it's a no brainer 👍

We need a revamp of our forward positions

TODD CANTWELL
