    * The Unofficial "Official" Boro v Ipswich [04/24] Match-Day thread *

    Just need to look at how we played during his last period out injured vs now. The counters are much more dangerous and teams aren't able to go as aggressive against us as a result.

    Big fan of the lad but that was terrible given the position he was in.

    I thought he was a bit mixed today. The things he did well, he did do very well. I do recall him making a few pretty sloppy mistakes though that could well have ended up costly, but didn't. Overall good game but MOTM? Not seeing it personally

    This completely. Sign of a good man-manager who wants to try salvage what confidence he can for his players.

    Glover = Not good enough

    Fair enough, I subjected myself to rewatching the highlights and there were one or two decent saves.

    Glover = Not good enough

    Can't say I recall any that were anything more than saves you would expect that even Lumley would have made, but I will subject myself to rewatching the highlights incase my memory is just fogged over from the overall ***** performance.

    Glover = Not good enough

    I thought the same about this match to be honest with you. I still think Glover is a decent second keeper to have around but since Dieng came back into the picture his performances have tilted massively.

    Worst display since Ayresome?

    Going from my hazy memory, the last game I can remember that was this bad would have been one of Wilders final matches for us, after he'd lost the dressing room and before he got the sack. Shockingly bad all around. Edit: no intent to draw any parallels between Carrick and the Wilder situation...

    Red Faction - walking out on 30th minute

    Surprised at the hate; I'm doubting I'll be renewing my season ticket this year because it's getting too expensive. Good on them for doing something harmless to show their dissatisfaction.

    The lads are all looking thirsty to cement that first team spot. Let's hope we can smash this second half and use this to swing our form around.

    At this stage I have to wonder whether the main objective now is to get ourselves in a good position for next year.

    Engel is so hit or miss. Feels like a gamble every time; haven't seen enough of Thomas to really weigh in on his ability though. I think Glover has been great for the most part. Can't ask much more of a second keeper. Wonder if Dieng being back rattled him because today he was very poor. Riley...

    Unacceptible "Paedo" and offensive chants / behaviour at MFC / SAFC Game

    All good then lad, I think we're on the same page then at the end of the day. UTB!

    You offended me too. If you didn't mean to and wires have been crossed, let's agree that we both want the same thing: None of this **** in football.

    Unacceptible "Paedo" and offensive chants / behaviour at MFC / SAFC Game

    As someone highlighting that we need to get our own house in order too, I'm not going to pretend I have a magic answer here. I was thinking less about fines at an EFL level and more encouraging our club and others to deal with this stuff themselves.
