I think it works by calculating how much carbon you would use by flying somewhere and then billing you for that carbon usage. Then paying that carbon fee into something like planting trees or sea grass or something?

Yeah, the fertility rate in the uk is already below two (about 1.7 I think), so we don't have enough people being born to keep the population stable if it carries on like this.

I think it will start to become more normalised and won’t be an expectation.
When we look after our nieces/nephews we usually get asked whether looking after them made us want our own, I’m not brutal enough to tell them that it made me want them even less, I like being able to hand them back the next day
I'd be a lot wealthier without them, that's for sure
