Sao Paulo F1 Grand Prix Weekend

He didnt go deep, he brakes too late and completely missed the corner. Hamilton only had to also go deep in the corner to avoid being taken out of the race
Only another opinion of an ex professional racing driver.

What difference does that make? You could probably find hundreds of drivers who would support a penalty and hundreds who wouldnt. Probably down to who they support in all honesty. Harris has raced in series where thats probably an acceptable way to drive though. Plus he is wrong anyway, if you watch it back Hamilton only went deep into the corner for one reason...

But regardless of that its so similar to what other drivers have received time penalties for earlier in the season. You cant change rules driver by driver

🤣

Also, ex professional racing driver with more laps round more race tracks than everybody on here combined, is wrong. 🤭

How many open wheel races has Harris raced in?
Also I’m not sure a controversy courting journalist who has been banned from reviewing Ferraris and Lamborghinis because of deliberately provocative comments and was spreading lies about EVs last week can be wholly trusted to say something honestly

Is that a wind up? Lol

Also if he's so knowledgeable, why would he not explain how Hamilton went deep?

Anyone with eyes can see Hamilton turning in to make the corner before having to then take evasive action to avoid a collision. That's not going deep.

Edit, more angles...

Makes zero difference how many laps he’s raced. He stated that both drivers went deep into the corner which wasn’t correct. Hamilton had to leave the track to avoid being taken out. Whoever this person is who hasn’t even raced in f1 (where the rules are significantly stricter than any other category) is wrong, that’s just a fact. Watch it again if you don’t think I’m right

You will find ex drivers with completely different opinions, look at how Silverstone divided opinion. Fact is you need to be consistent with the regulations, and letting this slide when numerous drivers received penalties earlier in the season for very similar things is wrong. If nothing else the rules have to be consistent

I just find it funny how people want racing watered down and think there is some grand conspiracy going on to prevent Lewis from taking the title this season.

If Lewis wins the championship it will be well deserved after been behind for so long this season. If Max wins the title it will be fully deserved as he's consistently beaten the current best driver in the world.

The only people who think there's a grand conspiracy going on are the idiots on twitter.
I don't think anyone on here has suggested a conspiracy.
Mercedes feel as if they've been victimised this past weekend and they have a point in fairness.
As for Verstappen, he's 9-6 ahead on race wins this season which is a great show from him but he has had the best car for the majority of the season.

Two final things from me on this.

Horner and Marko are being absolutely pathetic over this Mercedes wing issue. They've got Adrian Newey marching in to see the stewards every week armed with documents and videos without actually making a formal protest. As has been said by ex-drivers, commentators and Mercedes themselves Red Bull really need to put their money where there mouth is on this.

As for the incident in question, in 71 laps Verstappen was the only driver out of 20 who took that particular line going into the turn and ended up that far off the track. Just at the point he was about to be overtaken by Hamilton.

Just not true.

Karun explained the line he took which seems to have been overlooked by many.
