That’s probable. Mercedes hearing over so decision imminent.

I think you’re right. Also think fine is too harsh. Should just be a telling off but I guess because of the wing issue FIA might be forced to fine Max

It would be harsh but probable to calm the storm as it were.

An outside bet might be Lewis AND Max both finishing outside the top 3 tomorrow. I get the impression rightly or wrongly that the pair of them are too focussed on each other's race weekend and not their own.

Mercedes’ been told they will be allowed to change their rear wing before FP2 which suggested two things: 1 it won’t be a pit lane start, but 2 the wing was illegal so probably be a back of the grid penalty

Exactly it failed it was therefore illegal
So ergo any performance achieved from its use was also illegal. Where’s the issue.

Lets see the real Performance of that merc now

I’m with you. It seems bizarre to get so upset about a team of engineers. It’s actually quite sad because he knows his stuff but he’s just loses his head when people talk about Merc. I can’t Imagine why he would be so bitter. He even got so upset with me when I pulled him up on it he blocked me. It’s irrational and weird
 
What would allow the change from the start to the end. Work in the garage between laps? I’m not clued up on the mechanically side of things

Max touching it afterwards!

@BoroFur probably nailed it. Going over kerbs, especially on a high speed corner when there is a big load on the wing could have hurt it. Or, because it’s a movable part, maybe it get damaged when it was deployed?

Yeah, it’s tough because the margins are so fine so one bump just slightly heavier could hurt it. Or maybe a bump on the track when DRS is deployed? Especially on start finish where car is accelerating and turning

Maybe, just like concrete being strong in compression but very weak in tension hence the reason why steel reinforcement is almost always needed.

While not agreeing with the above I do think there is a need to look at sanctions with respect to the track they occur on. A 10 second penalty at Monaco will be more severe than most other tracks.
