Why are you persisting with these demonstrably false statements?

The CDC is not a business and they are not funded by lobbyists. They get a multi-billion dollar budget direct from the US Federal Government. For the coming year their allocated budget will be $15.4 billion.

Lobbyists can give money to individual politicians' election campaigns, purchase advertising, finance fundraisers and contribute to charities or causes that a politician supports but they cannot and do not give funds to government departments.
 
The way that people are trying to bully TonyMcandrew is pathetic !!!

The whole thing was done to death yesterday and was then done and dusted.. But someone loves to keep the arguments brewing all day so decided to start another thread.

There is widespread world propoganda from New Zealand to Canada but most people are only interested in the BBC.

There is a 99% survival rate with covid and it should be personal choice , which it is as it's not mandatory YET to have the jab (Won't call it a vaccine as it's an experimental jab)

I'm all for people who are happy to take the jab as it has definitely given them a new lease of life, so I'm a pro-vaxer and I'm so thankful that they feel safer.

Nobody on this forum knows how well the Jab will do..... And there's talk now of taking 2 tablets per day and of course the booster shots to keep everyone safe who feels they need them..

So it's great news and the people are protected in the future if they keep getting the boosters and tablets...

campervan - It is totally wrong for you to call the vaccine "an experimental jab" - that is so misleading and so demeaning.
 
I do not want to cause any trouble on here at all, but I need to give people certain facts.

This jab is not a vaccine because you are not protected fully against Covid.

I am not going to comment any further on any of these Covid related threads anymore..... I've held out from commenting all day, but the way that certain individuals gang up and ridicule anyone who will not take that jab is down right nasty.

Everyone has a choice otherwise it would be law to take it.

I love this forum and always have done, but I'm left with a bitter taste today at some of the comments....

No more posts from me on this from now on . I promise... Boro chat only

If someone is presented with information that contradicts their "evidence" then they should either prove their information IS correct or admit their error. That is how reasonable debate is conducted. That @tonymcandrewshattrick was unwilling to do either is the source of people getting annoyed with him. It is not bullying when we are simply trying to get him to debate properly.

The reason you are getting several posters commenting quite forcefully is because of comments like the one you’ve just posted. I have no axe to grind with you and wish you nothing but health and happiness, but what I’ve quoted above is utter nonsense. NO vaccine is 100% effective, none of them, not one… this basic lack of understanding is why people get frustrated with much of the anti-vax guff.

I have a scientific background, albeit not medicine, but I’ve done my reading and I’m happy to be going for my second Sputnik V jab soon after months of not being able to get a vaccine both in Russia and the UK.

'Certain facts' that are in fact, wrong.

Which means you're spreading misinformation.

May I suggest you get your information from reputable sources before spouting tosh?

By reputable I don't mean FB or Twitter.

The NHS is a good place to start.

I try to not get involved in these debates because it's generally the same people copying and posting govt sponsored links. Then the posts just drift on insentiently with further nothingness, just like the above pages. I stand by some things and I would change other things that I posted.

In answer to Rob's post, it is an experimental jab. The very fact that we don't know what the long term side effects are dictates that. Only time will tell if there are any side effects, which is why it's experimental. I know it's not what he or probably most want to read, but that's the reality.

I encourage everybody to have the vaccination if that's your choice, but I won't vilify or try to punish people who don't.

and Mutley i was dipping in and out earlier because today is my busiest day, hence being a bit disjointed.

It’s not experimental, the vaccines have been part of the largest trials in history and a coordinated effort that was not possible (or desirable) prior to the pandemic. The ‘experimental’ phase is long over. You don’t usually see side effects with vaccines after 2 months at most, the world has been vaccinating for what, 7 months? I think we’d be seeing a lot more issues by now if the vaccines were flawed. Anyway, I have no problem with you other than to say maybe read some peer reviewed articles in serious publications and realise this is science vs fear and misinformation.
