It's fair to say that they are unproven
But that, like your point about CDC is incorrect. Vaccination is a proven technology. We know how it works. The vaccines have all been thoroughly tested.

To say otherwise is to promulgate a scare story.
You mean censoring people who have a different opinion to you?
No to stop people spreading lies that can affect the health of thousands of people.

There's a difference between opinion and spreading false information which in a situation like this could be very dangerous.
He has a difference of opinion and is entitled to it. He isn't being nasty or saying he is 100% right, he is entitled to question and open debate on things (and rightly so).

This report is for the USA where it is the right wingers that are vaccine sceptic. And it's the more centrist Democrats that are now in power.

Here in the the UK it tends to be the more liberalist left wingers that are not getting the vaccine.

In either case the anti-vaccers did not vote for their respective governments.
I think the political rhetoric used in this country has folks not knowing whether they’re coming or going! This combined with American terminology being shoehorned into the conversation makes for something akin to George Orwell’s newspeak! Everything is so divisive Brexit, leftist, rightist, pro jab, anti vax.. the only ones that miss out are the people. Regardless of which side of the fence you think your shouting from.. we’re all just sheep in a pen bleating away!

Liberal Left is an American term and doesn’t really apply to British politics. It’s not really left at all.. it would be close to Lib Dem which is right of centre. I wouldn’t say folks political persuasions necessarily effect their choice to be vaccinated or not. It’s more likely to be someone bleating on social media, some gobby neighbour or relative.

No, I don't mean that at all. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but spreading false information about a vaccine, which is evidently saving lives during a pandemic, is just wrong. The social media platforms haven't done enough to curb this but I think there's a duty to call it out. IMO there should be a zero tolerance approach to it and should include banning posters who spread this misinformation - whether they see themselves as lying or not.

It’s this idea of opinions being held in the same regard as facts which can be backed up by evidence.

A lot of Fox News seems to be this.. idiotic opinions reported as news, the more negative and/or controversial the opinion.. the more it gets talked about, the more people tune in and the more money they get from adverts!

A covid vaccine will reduce your chances of contracting a disease and reduce the severity of symptoms/long term effects if you contract a variant. This means less people die directly or due to the NHS being overwhelmed.

IMO I completely disagree with you. Not following blindly the official narrative on everything and daring to question does not equate to censorship and being silenced. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, even if you disagree with it, especially on a public forum.

Then you have to provide something, give people reason to question the official narrative, you can't just say "in my opinion" when faced with facts.

i agree and that works both ways

The only thing i will add please don't ask anybody to keep their gob shut.
You don't understand the value of keeping schtum?

Are you the sort who at a funeral says to the grieving relatives it's all bull**** this god business you know.

Accept the limitations of your knowledge and keep your gob shut. Careless talk costs lives.

No it's not ok to spread lies and false information - I think we all agree on that.

Other than that thanks for your input RH it's very enlightening

You don't need my input - I don't have the patience to write it - just read (and try to understand) all the huge amounts of well-articulated and excellent advice that many good people have spent a lot of time writing directly to you on this very thread.

Read and understand (y)

It's really not hard, there are some excellent explanations done really well and I take my hat off to them for taking the time to do it

i've read everything RH and i've taken on board everything that was written down.

If we don't agree with something we should all be encouraged to speak out.
