It is possible to hug your mates if thats what you want to do, but also wear a mask whilst in a packed public space such as a supermarket. Its not like by wearing one you cant do anything elseLet people do as they please with masks. It it makes you feel good, go ahead and do it.
if you don't want to and want to hug your mates go ahead and do that.
If you follow the legal requirement for mask wearing then you should not be lambasted by people calling you selfish. If you continue to wear a mask you shouldn't be ridiculed either.
We are all comfortable with different levels of risk. I am not a hugger of mates so no big question there for me but I don't particularly like wearing a mask for extended periods.
The statement that were all comfortable with different levels of risk is correct, but how can it be fair to put someone else at higher risk through no fault of their own, just because you dont like wearing a mask?
