I dont like wearing them but probably will continue to pop one on in shops if I have a cold etc, I used to think they were all a bit crazy in Japan for doing so but it makes sense, it isn’t for my benefit, it’s for other people.

It’s actually a mark of respect for others. The complaints I tend to see now about them are from me me me people

Mind saying that, it's been 18 months since we've been wearing masks & some people still can't wear em correctly, what's so hard about fitting a mask correctly

Nope, mine is off. I can't remember the last time I heard a cough.
Because people are wearing masks 🙄

of course I’ll still be wearing one. Certainly on public transport and in supermarkets and stores. Probably in concourses and other semi open spaces. Now we normalised something that protects others from catching disease it’d be a bit selfish to just stop.

Mask wearing - no chance, social distancing no way, can't wait to see smiles, hug, shake hands. Really looking forward to a packed away concourse and then standing in the away end of any ground singing my heart out to the mighty Boro with other Teessiders.

Anyone who wants to continue with the recent guidance is very welcome too, likewise those who decide to return to normality - I don't see how anyone should have any objection either way.

For the reasons corkage said. It's a good way of stopping disease spreading. Now it has become normalised I see no reason not to keep it going. Especially in winter.

Good for you.
Good for anyone who want's to stop others getting diseases. You don't know what peoples immune system are alike. What is a bad cold for you could be fatal for others. Thats why I'm glad it has been normalised and I'm wary of people saying they are going to stop wearing them immediately. It seems selfish to me.

Main point. We are not "Post Pandemic", yet.

I would hope that mask wearing in enclosed spaces like shops and on public transport through this year is mandated but that it is relaxed everywhere else as an interim measure.

I won't be wearing a mask. Can't wait to go back to normal, no social distancing etc.
If people want to carry on wearing a mask, then so be it. But please don't berate others for not.

Not berating. Just explaining why it's a good idea to keep wearing one. Also why it could be seen as being selfish for not wearing one.

The government said ‘don’t wear them they don’t work’ so I didn’t.
Then they said do wear them they do work, so I did.
Now they say you don’t need to wear them, so I won’t.

No, I won't be wearing one if I can help it. I get really bunged up when wearing a mask so it will be a relief not to be obliged to wear one.

I won't have a problem wearing one if required to in certain venues - I won't be making a fuss.
