Just watched it, absorbing, moving, very sad in parts, but a brilliant watch - so proud he was our manager.
Really!Yes really enjoyed watching this although very sad to see how ill he was. A shame there’s not even a passing mention of Boro in it though.
The film is just about his time in charge of Ireland, not a life story.Really!
I'm very surprised at that. How can they tell his story without even referencing his spell at Boro???
There is a decent bit about the Boro, usual footage of him on the pitch collecting tracksuits, him and Bobby talking outside the office after a pitch inspection, training on the moors, and mucking about with the players in the changing rooms.
I certainly didI also received it for Christmas and want to watch it on my own, I think I might shed a tear.
You know he turned out about 6 times for the Boro, friendlies & a couple of reserve outings, scoring 3 goalsJust watched it, absorbing, moving, very sad in parts, but a brilliant watch - so proud he was our manager.
Didn't know that! You know he turned out about 6 times for the Boro, friendlies & a couple of reserve outings, scoring 3 goals
Our best ever manager, IMHO mind
Yes he played a few matches in the 74-75 Australian tour, Tony Greens testimonial & a couple of reserve games during 73-74 season, if you have the programmes from 73-74 season it lists the reserve match teams with big Jack in names twiceDidn't know that!
Different class. You know he turned out about 6 times for the Boro, friendlies & a couple of reserve outings, scoring 3 goals
Our best ever manager, IMHO mind
