Dominican Republic on Monday, cant see any problems, but fingers crossed just in case
Venice at the end of April for our 10th wedding anniversary so we'll have to bin that sadly. Back 'home' (NY) in Sept but that hasn't been booked yet as we only need flights
A bit like our honeymoon, the anniversary may have to take place a year later
So Vallance has said something since

No unlike Button. Awaiting the FCO nod.
Or both to be fair. You said yourself it can (and almost certainly will) hang around in the population for a long time if not indefinitely.
My point is, personally I think April will be rough. Really rough. But if it's as bad as you think it's going to be it'll bunt itself out a bit. You can't spread as a virus by killing your hosts . If it isn't that bad then it'll linger but just become a background thing. Like flu or cancer
Absolutely, happy to swap notesWe were the opposite. Avoided booking NY when this came up. Venice is the wife's favourite place and we have been about 6 times. If you rearrange and want some tips for eating places let me know. If we rearrange I may come back to you for some NY advice if that's OK.
Spain? Depends when. As Government have deemed travel as only essential for 15 days all cancellation charges can be claimed back on your insurance. Best to contact your hotel and ask if they can either move it or what they will do. Some are being flexible but as they will be in financial Armageddon you can’t blame them if they insist on the charge and the insurance is your option.Does anyone know how you stand if you booked an apartment through booking.com and the date has passed to cancel for free ?? Don’t want to lose all our money
