Next Fans Forum - Monday Oct 20th

Please can you ask an AOB on the players displaying gambling logos when visiting schools? The under age groups play with Host & Stay logo. I think when visiting kids the senior players should do the same.
I and many others have brought this up as a concern for many years now.. nothing.

the only thing close i've even heard is that we don't need to print the gambling sponsors onto the replica shirts! but we do anyway!!

Port Vale sell over 62 year old tickets , can you ask Boro if they will consider doing the same from next season , to reward the older fans and entice more to buy a season ticket instead of picking the odd game .

What should be up for discussion?
So far -
Half Season Tickets
Concourse Bars - problems
Someone from another forum has suggested increasing the number of bonuses with season cards ie at Sunderland there is discount in the shop, priority access to SoL concerts etc. Concourse discounts.
Communications between fans and club
Network coverage in stands - especially in regard to how can you report a hate crime without a network.

Open to more ideas etc.
Reduce ticket age from 65 to 62 like Port Vale have , rewarding older fans

Ask that next time they review their beer agreements, they actually ask someone who knows what beer is. Or sell some alternative bottles (poured out of course).

Better phone signal within the Riverside.

People have been asking about transferring season ticket for occasional home matches - is it allowed or not within same category? Some other clubs allow it and even have legal transfer markets for tickets

Queues at the concourses have reduced in my opinion, probably due to less fans getting free drinks - positive!

Can we have a firm commitment that fans will not be forced to use digital tickets in 2024/25 i.e options will be available to all.

Managed to bring up as many items as I could from this thread - Gambling sponsors logo on shirts in schools etc included. GRFZ information.
Bike storage - there are bike stores in East and West Stands and yes this will be advertised on the mfc website.

In answer to this question - "Next time can you ask them why the payment system is suddenly broken? A lot of us keep getting an 'ok' message. Only when leaving this page, with no confirmation of purchase do we get our email confirmation."
Right the club did not seem aware of this problem - please can someone send a screenshot to me maybe next time it happens and I will forward it on to the ticket office manager. Mark Motley had experienced it himself and gave details to the club but he hadn't sent a screen shot - the hope is that screen shot should contain a clue to the error.

>Lots of questions Redwurzel - and I have to admit I was getting ready for the meeting starting when you sent this in.
Yes you can transfer tickets within the ground - obviously you need to contact the ticket office in advance.
As to the transfer market - not quite the same but if you cannot make a game if you contact supporter services your ticket can be reassigned to a charity/community group.
Concourse queues - apparently they are selling more drink now than even with sell out crowds in the Premier which was also before Chairman's drink. In the minutes you should hear about some new bar facilities at the ground coming on stream for the next home match.
wifi - etc - got to say since I switched from EE to O2 I cannot get online at any ground around the football. I used to post tweets and instagram from all games and nearly always could do this, even if it took a while. But I didn't get chance to bring this up to see if there was any progress. I know there was an upgrade in the summer for the concerts and the cost was pretty eye watering but doesn't seem to have made any difference.

I probably have a bias view on this given it’s going to be a long time until this would impact me, but there’s absolutely no reason that I can see to lower the concession age.

This is still working age people. Why would ‘older’ fans need rewarding? There is already a hugely above average number of concessions within the stadium that are essentially subsidised by full cost payers.

Thanks Rob for the reply.

I had in mind transferring the user of the ticket. not the position in the stadium. So my query is transferring a ticket to a friend say adult to adult for the odd home game. Fans who don't live within 50 miles of the Riverside, often can't get to every home game or ones that work on rigs etc.

Mobile reception - mine is also on the O2 network and it only works slowly in the concourse say 15 minutes or more before kick off.

Did the Club say why they can now serve more customers, with less queues?

Tickets aren't transferrable are they? I'm sure that's within the purchase conditions. To be honest i'm pretty certain, digital ticketing has been brought in to prevent people fiddling the system.
