Really?
Isn't that a bit mad?

"Yeah man has been shot in the head"
"Nah must be covid-19".

(That actually happened in Florida by the way).

Does what you are saying there then prove what we've been saying about figures been inflated especially if they aren't doing post mortems?
No. After the debacle of care homes they need to know if anyone admitted to a hospital has it. They'd be stupid to do otherwise.

Read Billy's post above. The information only exists until a positive test or negative result is returned. It isn't part of any daily statistic.

What I took from the picture was that she went to hospital with a dodgy leg and was diagnosed with suspected covid-19 as a cause??

Don't imagine it would be counted as a case without a test but does show that assumptions are happening.
I’ve just asked my wife about the form she is a nurse, they suspect covid and screen every patient that comes through their ward. I can’t speak for every ward

No it means we need assume they have covid until they’ve had a negative test, otherwise we could be putting staff and other patients at risk

Crazy.

Did they ever do the same for HIV?

The transmission mechanism for HIV involves an exchange of bodily fluids. You can catch Covid by breathing in the air that an infected person has expelled.

Total deaths from HIV/AIDS in the UK are around 25,000 in nearly 40 years. Deaths from Covid-19 in the UK are in excess of 45,000 in less than 5 months.

That didn't answer my question. When the HIV virus was first discovered were inpatients automatically assumed to be HIV positive?

You don't determine what questions I'd like an answer to.
Run along now.
Very mature.

I was just pointing out the question you were asking has no relevance to the topic at hand. Hence why it wasn't answered, but you did get an explanation as to why it wasn't answered.

The irony. You jumped into a conversation that was been had and determined that a question didn't matter.
Last time I checked it was Rob's board and not yours so I'll continue to ask whatever the hell I want to ask.

"being". As for the conversation remark, among other things you need to learn about, one is how message boards work.

OK then, enlighten us O mighty one: Why did you ask the seemingly irrelevant question?

Wow, grammar police on the prowl.

I'm done with the constant negativity and bull**** from you.
