I've come down this morning with England in a commanding position with both Root (101 and Brook (184) posting a very good score. At one point I thought we might see NZ bat yesterday but these two have turned the game right on its head.
As I said earlier in the thread, I can't help but feel that NZ has let England off the hook somewhat.
Regarding Brook, I could sit and watch this kid bat all day, some of his shots are sublime.

Just caught up with the highlights.
Harry Brook - the sky is the limit for this lad. He's improving and looking better after each innings, never mind each test.
We certainly have a special talent in our armoury with this lad.

Incredible isn't he - Root and Brook highest English partnership on NZ soil and Brook has the highest number of runs after nine innings EVER.

Over the last few years I've read comments from journalists saying things like Alistair Cook is the last great English test batsman, then they were saying Root is definitely the last of an era.
