I think you’ve just got to accept he’s part of our longer term plans. On his day he can destroy teams.

I wouldn’t be too harsh on him given he’s opening the batting on a pitch that belongs in Village cricket

Brook doesn't seem to be having too much of a problem, and its a long game. Another 4 days after this yet at the most, so lets see how it plays.

That day is very rare but I think the current regime believe it’s just all about the team and who could challenge them at present.

Not the usual aggressive start we’re used to.

I do agree to a certain extent but the level of grass on the pitch is a bit ridiculous. Did the cutters break?

Always find it funny how people say England do so well at home as we make bowler friendly pitches. You’ll never find anything as green as what we see today.

The pitch will flatten out and become a lot better for batting, I know. It just makes the toss such a crucial factor though. It still might not stop us though if we can get a half decent score in quick time.

Using Brook as a comparative is also unfair. The lad is a complete freak
