2nd Test NZ v England

Sorry I don’t get what Stokes thinks batting like that is achieving.

Are we wanting to get NZ batting before lunch here because the way we’re batting they will be.

you have to admire bazball..................old school test match cricket after 82 overs we would have been abotu 180-9...............and i consider mysefl a test match purist

Be interesting if England have fundamentaly changed test cricket forever with Bazball or if they continue with it after a losing streak
 
Be interesting the rest of the year with the 5 test series against the Aussies and India. However will need more than Brook and Root. Brook looks very special indeed - some of the shots he plays are unreal.

It hasn't been just Brook and Root though, unless you're only talking about this innings.

He was clearly attempting to cash in on the old ball, yes it was ugly but it pushed the game on. Starting on this pitch will be hard for everyone, an ugly run a ball 20 odd is far better than 20 of 60 with the life being taken out of the pitch.

He's batting the situation, nothing more.
