Your Olympic Sport to Drop

The ones that require judges and, when the "performance" is finished, even the commentators don't know if it's going to be scored well or badly.

Agree with the one about the pinnacle of the sport. Sportsman classed as "professional" shouldn't be at the Olympics. So, tennis, men's football, golf. Make them do another version of the sport - 5-a-side, beach football, Real tennis, crazy golf.

My problem with that is, does that include boxing and the other pugilistic events?

You might claim that judging in those sports is more objective, but people more knowledgeable than me regarding boxing will say there is a large degree of variation in the judgement.
 
Sack off all the horsey events definitely. Especially the dancing. Sport for the elite only (there are others of course).

There'll be loads of sports with far higher participation numbers that aren't in the Olympics.

Nah, no way! I understand boxing. Like boxing. Maybe people understand gymnastic dancing(liars), but I don't, so it doesn't count!!! Get rid!

Yeah, that's what this has boiled down to hasn't it? Very few people have said sports that shouldn't be in the olympics, most have just said "sports I hate"

Couldnt we combine downhill cycle and darts. Now theres a sport!
 
Any sport where an Olympic medal is not pinnacle of achievement in that sport, like tennis, golf and basketball.
 
My wife reckons she could do the gymnastic floor exercises if you took the flips and tumbles out, just kept the running hopping and shaking bits. I think Id want to be excused from the room for that one

Dressage, medals won by family and friends of the various Olympic committees.
Got to say the horses are beautiful but it shouldn’t be in the Olympics.

Golf. BMX, Baseball, Beach Volleyball, Football, Skateboarding.. none should be in the Olympics imo, no teamsports that's for sure.

Athletics, Swimming, Weightlifting, Gymnastics and then maybe the combat sports.

Teamsports should have no place in the Olympics imo

Equestrian . . . seems wrong to be carting horses around the world, Although they will be doing it for World and Euro championships as well.

Not good for carbon footprints I guess. Should do what they did in 1956: Melbourne hosted the games, Stockholm hosted the Horse events.
