Your Olympic Sport to Drop

Climbing is one that I've not seen listed. Making its debut so does that mean it's safe for now? I've never really seen the appeal.
It’sa great way to switch off. It’s honestly the only sport I’ve done where you need to 100% concentrate on your next couple of moves and switch any other thoughts off

When the modern olympics started there were events such as sculpting and poetry. The oldest gold medal winner was in the pentathlon of muses that ran from 1912 to 1948, and was 79 years old. A record that stands today.

Curling is just Olympic spring cleaning.

Like some enlightened people have already said. Darts, snooker and downhill mountain biking should be in.

I'd take out the walking and the one where they dance about with a ribbon on a stick. Both seem completely pointless 😁

By that measure you need to ditch all the running events, weightlifting, swimming, etc.

No skill just physical prowess innit?
Running is about having a good start.
Weightlifting is all about having a nice clean snatch.
Swimming, again, it's the dive at the start.

I'm totally on board with removing these judged events like horse dancing and rhythmic gymnastics. If we're keeping them, we might as well have baking or beauty contests. FF and indeed S.

I disagree. I quite like olympic boxing. And, though not my thing, there is definitely a place for the diving.

I don't particularly enjoy equestrianism or sailing, but I don't have a problem with them being there. Plenty seem to enjoy them.
I think there's a movement to take the games a bit more "street" with skateboarding, BMX and 3v3 basketball, and I don't much have a problem with that.

I don't like golf, tennis or football being in there: they have their own major events, and the Olympic tournaments are an afterthought.
I wouldn't mind a 5 a side football tournament; a recognised variation on a bigger sport, like the rugby 7s.
