Yorkshire win a nail biter in the one day cup

They only had 2 days out of 6 washed out. Also have another 4 day game at start of September
only 121 overs were bowled over 2 days in the 4 day game, 2 days fully washed out and approx 2/3 of a day lost to rain.

full washout vs Lancy one dayer

rain effected one dayer vs kent, only 17 overs of 2nd innings bowled

I forgot about the last day of 4 day game being washed out as well 😔 as we had already given up and gone, but as members we weren't getting any money back anyway

My son played against him as a junior a few times. James Tate and Dom Leech were another level from the rest of that Normanby Hall team. Tate the better bat and Leech the better bowler, but both were very good all round cricketers.

I said to the lad at work he wasn't a rabbit by any means, so it wasn't all over when he came in as the last man.
What happened to James Tate is he still playing Lefty.

Yorkshire had a 20:20 warm up game ther v NYSD Select a few years ago. Sadly it clashed with Boro v Sheff Utd (our only good home performance of the season) 3-0.

Durham played 2 2ndcteam games v Glamorgan in about 2014. A 1 day game followed by a 3 day game where they had 3 Present and future England bowlers in their squad - one was 12th man. Special kudos for anyone who can name them. Also an Irish International I think

They had also played at Stockton as well around the same time (without most of the international players)
Harmison, Plunkett, Onions?

I saw Durham play Essex at Stockton first season in the county championship, or maybe a one day game.

Tomorrow the host Somerset in a foreign county. They're playing at Gosforth.

Reply close but not Harmison. Also their 2nds played a home game at Richmond last year (not sure why)

Ive just realised Rushworth never got an England cap - so there was only Onions and an other, with Poynton (Ireland) keeping wicket. So sorry about that

Wood was the other one who played and unlike Onions didn't have strop throughout the game
