Ormesby, where I was born and brought up, was in the North Riding of Yorkshire and became Teesside when I was a child. So yes, Teesside.

I don't care where it starts and ends. I was born 4 miles from the banks of the Tees and over 40 miles from York. I'm a Teessider.

Ormesby, where I was born and brought up, was in the North Riding of Yorkshire and became Teesside when I was a child. So yes, Teesside.

When that was formed in 1968, the whole of the County Borough of Teesside was in the North Riding, even north of the river.

It's only when it became Cleveland in 1974 that it was separated, and that was abolished in 1996.
