Yep, I think without two strikers and two creative players we'll be nearer the bottom six than the top six at the end of the season. We look utterly devoid of any creativity and quality without Tav and Watmore, who we know can't be relied on fitness wise.

How have we spent £70 odd million since relegation and ended up with this squad, utterly baffling decisions have been made. It's heartbreaking.

We only have two centre backs and we've released our left wingback and are about to loan out our other one.
 
Least enjoyable of the pre-season games and the ref hasn't helped stopping the flow all the time. One big positive for me - I already love Bamba and we haven't signed him, yet.
 
Well that was poor. It was an oddly unbalanced side that started but played well for 20 minutes in which we could have scored again. We missed a penalty.

A good run out and (desperately stretching for a positive) it sometimes does good to taste defeat. (Yup that's a stretch alright)

We started with three CD and three CM one proper CF. It doesnt work. We're slow and easy to play against. He tried it last season. Didnt work then. Ive never been a fan of Warnock and hes assemblig a side of hoof ball and hospital passes and moving in the wrong players. Long season ahead
 
My take from that.

Lumley could do with some serious competition. Hopefully it’s just a one off bad game from him. His kicking was amateurish.

We must play a back 4 , we do not have a good wing back in the whole squad.

Howson and Morsy shouldn’t be in the same side. 1 or the other.

Sooner Tav and Watmore back the better and If Bola isn’t gonna be back for the first game of the season I hope we get a move on in get a left sided defender in as we can’t go with what we’ve got.

If we sell Spence I will be delighted, I just don’t understand him as a footballer.

Impressed with the big man Ikpeazu, hopefully nothing to seriously wrong with him. Will be an asset this season.

Paterson the invisible man will not be signed I would imagine.

Impressed with Young Jones and wouldn’t be against him staying around until January getting the odd game on the bench and run out in the cup. See how he does

Also not against signing Bamba as back up. He did well enough and will be a popular guy and good for dressing room.
 
Not sure what that formation set out to achieve if I'm honest. And we haven't got the players for that system.

I'll stick with my mid table prediction I think.
