Come on. We won’t go under if we keep Crooks. If this transfer has been in the pipeline for a while then fair dos, I imagine Azaz is his replacement. But we needed a striker and didn’t get one, and then sold Rogers, and then Crooks. So in an area where we were looking to strengthen, we’ve actually removed two of our most productive players and replaced them with a single player who will understandably need time and support to settle into a new environment.

We are weaker now than we were when the window opened. It doesn’t make sense.

Did I? I think I said it was a potentially great deal for the club but thought it was too early for Rogers to move up a level. But I concede that I say a lot of things.

Quite glad he’s going to a team we won’t be facing. Would feel a bit weird now to watch him play for someone else against Boro and potentially score. He’s probably gonna be a big Boro fan for the rest of his life now.
