Just seen some of the posts on Twitter from the shooting in Texas - it's quite horrific.

As usual the people in power have offered thoughts and prayers :mad:
 
Yeah, seen some of the pictures - gruesome. 198th mass shooting in the USA this year.

The comments though.......f*cking hell. The pro-gun nobbers just will not accept there is absolutely no need to own military grade hardware.

The AR-15.....the weapon of choice for the mass shooter 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

But as one sane poster wrote, if nothing was done after Sandy Hook, nothing will ever be done.

Honestly if you really follow the us news feeds from local sites you could almost do one of these posts every other day

It’s scary how frequent they are now and it’s all over as well.

Madness, each shooting I’m sure feeds into the thought process of some other sad person with significant MH issues.

More guns become available every day, the likes of Ted Cruz will resist any form of control and more innocent people will be fall victim. It’s just crazy.

Absolutely I think there’s ample evidence out there to suggest just that, in that “fame” or rather infamy is something these people seek and they get more than their 15 minutes of fame after it.

That’s why some countries are now refusing to refer to the individual by name this ribbing them of this element, instead elevating the victims above them.

NZ did this for one.
 
There are far more pressing matters than gun control in the US such as drag shows, making the green M&M less sexy, teaching kids about racism, transgender beer spokespersons and loads of other supposedly deadly woke issues.

Besides which, thoughts and prayers fixes everything.
 
Can't believe that there was no rootin tootin gunslinging Texican cowboy ready to take the assailant down as soon as he claimed his first victim.

Can't be easy running away carrying a sixshooter.

Yet again those who insist on the legal right to carry a firearm would appear to have demonstrated that they are, fundementally, all sh houses when it really hits the fan.
 
I do wonder how many mass shootings have actually been prevented by the good guy with a gun.
Surely the gun lobby can produce those statistics?
