Yet another "benefit" of brexit

Funky, if that was in response to my post, we won't be on WTO terms. We will be free to make our own trade agreements with the rest of the world, but trade with the EU tariff free, until the EU say we cannot! I suspect it is Johnsons way of preparing to blame the nasty folk of the EU.
And how many deals are actually agreed an in place - apart from the tim tams one 🤣

You mean like before, a few year ago, when people were apparently getting horse and other meats mixed in processed and takeaway scandals. The EU protected us all, not. You will never stop exploitation. Takeaways are not cheap, those who use them choose them. Choice is always a factor, you make them sound good value for the poor, they are a lazy and expensive ‘treat’

Great bit of whatabouttery there col - so because there was an incident previously we should just abandon all standards? And just because people are poor doesn't mean they cant treat themselves to a takeaway? Spending £5 on a parmo isn't exactly lazy nor expensive.

This. Plus the lower standard we experience in future will be legal.

That wasn't really my point Funky. The way we are heading with the EU, it is looking like a permanent trade war, irrespective of any other deals.

Also, you have to bear in mind that lots of countries will not enter into negotioations, or agree a deal until the situation with the EU is finalized, that makes perfect sense for them. They will then now whether they can leverage any deal with the UK as a gateway into the EU.
