Yet another "benefit" of brexit

Heres the most contemporaneous diagram of UK - World Trade Deals.
Notice the absence of Arms Deals with the like of Saudi Arabia.

You have to ask yourself, why didn't the tories have any opposition upto the voting dates, before continually blaming others, even Labour voters didn't vote for them, that is who you should voice your concern at
Or voice my concern at Brexiteers for doggedly sticking to the most bizarrely damaging political decision for years?

On the plus side, from that map it looks like we have a trade deal with PNG so all's good

Or blame Labour for the lack of fight
I wouldnt continually blame other teams if the Boro kept on losing, I would ask the question why are we so bad, what is the problem

I'm actually impressed with this. I mean, it's dreadful but I didn't realise we had actually some trade deals sewn up, all of latin America for example. Pretty much every coffee producing country too!

Do we know how these deals compare to how we could have traded with these nations if we were in the EU?

That's the spirit, positivity 👍

People on here moan at people who have a critical eye on the Boro, some calling for Woodgate to go recently were calling to give him time not that long ago.

Brexit isn’t just a Tory thing is it. Many coastal towns across the country did not benefit from the EU much compared to the bigger cities and southern areas. We are where we are, the sooner the country pulls together the better. People need to support the country like they support their team. Nothing has changed last I looked, we currently operate within EU rules. Save your complaints for when real change occurs, but hopefully people will give it a chance like they urged on Woody.

Here a list of people that do benefit from being in the EU:

1. Big businesses that want an endless supply of cheap labour to keep costs down.
2. People that employ a cheap cleaner from Eastern Europe.
3. The middle classes that benefit from cheap goods and services subsidised by the low wages of 1 & 2.

Every other benefit is possible via a trade deal without a membership fee and freedom of movement.

Every country that spoke about it said the deal would be worse than the EU get. Pretty obvious really - a bigger trading bloc has more clout.

If wine from Chile costs less than £5 in aldi ,(French wine generally more expensive) and they still make a profit why not for everything else?

Or,
1. Businesses in the UK that rely on a supply chain.
2. People in the UK who like the option to freely travel and work in other countries.
3. People who like peace in Northern Ireland.

Edit: mine is by no means an exhaustive list, but I suspect that boromike couldn't come up with many more.

Small Towns brexit musings don't carry much weight with me.. ST you did give the tories an 80 seat majority with his oven ready deal, a deal, by the way, that he now wants to renage on.

It can’t be healthy this obsession ST has.
He’s like the obsessed ex boyfriend who can’t deal with the fact his mrs has left him.

Ah the modern political thought. Ignore the message and attack the messenger.

Well done you for detracting from the horror show that is Brexit. Good work

What trade deals? The one with Guyana?

Love Guyana, it's where my mother's from, hopefully Boris is getting us some plantains 👌👌👌
I wonder what the food standards labels will be like.

Look, despite my surprise at having a deal with all the LatAm countries it's still look like we are pretty much screwed for trade at the moment. If only there was a tariff free way of trading with our closest neighbours and biggest markets

All of those things are possible with a trade deal. There is no need to be a member of a union to have any of those things.

The trade deal we will get with the EU, and other countries. You don't actually think that the long term relationship with the EU will be the same as the day 1 no deal situation, even if we do end up with no deal in place next year?
