Tbf who cares? As you say they weren't good singers to begin with. They're not singers full stop. Can't help but feel you're missing the point of the 3 lions song(s) if that's what you're picking up on.

I love the original, I'm missing no point at all.

The meaning of a song doesn't stop it sounding ****.

If the original hadn't been catchy, it wouldn't have caught on.
Their lack of singing ability was outweighed by the lyrics and tune in the original.

With the novelty long since ground in to dust, and their voices even worse, I don't think that's true with a Christmas special remake.
