Worst ever away day

Is this the answer? What is going to be the result of this? All fans being treated like dog dirt? ‘The Preston Model’ has to be the closest we’ve seen to sensible policing, overall the say was great if not the best.

Are we going to suggest that this did not in fact work, heavier policing is required and more idiotic stewards to be shipping in?

I wouldn’t feel comfortable with highlighting the very few negatives from this game.. maybe doing more harm than good?
Are you forgetting the whole starting point of the thread about the 8 yr old being forced out of their seat and having a terrible experience?

Unrealistic possibility. Cocaine relieves the user of the mental capacity for social decency.
There is no doubt that Cocaine turns people into asreholes and no doubt that is massively damaging to the heart. Education has to play a part in alleviating the problem as well as making the alternatives more attractive.

When I was on Cruise Ships I was selected for advanced fire fighter training which included use of flares. The things they are using are only supposed to be handled by someone with proper training, not only in their use, but also storage and disposal. Not drunken coked 'n' pi**ed knuckle draggers.
Advanced fire fighting training for boro fans?

Had the same thing happen at Hull, had my son and his mate with me (both 14 at the time), bunch of coked up ******* invading their space, when one moved another tried to jump in , it wasn't until I physically stopped them and chucked a few choice words in did they back off, I spent the rest of the game waiting to be jumped on mob handed!! luckily nothing else happened.
@NortonExile hope your sons ok(y)
I’ve experienced a few fans trying to nab seats that weren’t theirs just to stand next to their mate etc. fans want to sit next to their mates ect and some will push their luck in order to get their way. worst one being some claude greengrass looking mofo in the west stand who thought because he was a gold season ticket holder he could chuck my wife out of her seat at a cup game! Unfortunately it’s just human nature, some people are rude and ignorant. It’s not exclusive to our fans or even just football.

Big crowds, concerts etc.. you might get pushed around a bit. People might make noise, throw things, wave flag, set of flares. Sometime you have to keep your distance, sometimes you’re able to give them a few choice words and solve things amicably.

"Spice" is synthetic cannabis and has absolutely zero connection to MDMA which is the active component of Ecstacy. Often sold as a powder and also known as "Molly"

If you can't even get the basics like that right I ain't reading the rest of it

Let me help you understand:

"SPICE" - synthetic cannabis made by spraying herbs/spices with all sorts of chemicals. Smoked, especially by prisoners, the homeless and destitute. Can render users virtually catatonic. Nasty nasty stuff

"MDMA" - the active substance in Ecstasy tablets. First synthesised by Merk in 1912 then by an improved method by Alexander Shulgin in 1976. Enhances dancing to electronic music. These days sold in powder form and ingested by youths in nightclubs . Anyone lucky enough to get pure MDMA will probably have a great time

There is zero overlap between these drugs

Partly responsible for the Acid House musical revolution in 1988 as it enhances dancing to electronic music. These days sold in pure powder form and ingested by youths in nightclubs . Exactly! We should be promoting MDMA use over Cocaine to our 24 hour party people!

It’s tough to have a game so intertwined with our country’s drinking culture and then try to deny all knowledge of it.

We’ve got a gambling company plastered all over our kits, each concourse has it’s own bookies, we’ve got chips, burgers, chocolate, crisps, sugary drinks and the slowest bars available to mankind!

Make the alternatives more appealing or maybe accept that some people do drugs and attempt to educate them and minimise the damage?
Illicit drugs are everywhere.
Its not a new scenario.

Good.
That might discourage people becoming even more wasted by the time they get in the stands.
people just drink more before the match and take coke. there’s no point having bars in the concourse if you can’t get served. paint the walls black, get done lasers snd disco valls.. we can just serve water and glow sticks!

I want even being sarcastic!
Apologies, but it came across to me as that.
Illicit drug use is a societal problem - though its become fashionable in the press to target football fans.
"What is to be done"(?) is a genuine question.
It becomes tiresome and pointless listening to the "lock em up" argument every time illicit drug use is raised.
As for alcohol - when I see someone so pzzd at games - they can hardly stand up - I ask "whats the point"?
